Shopping with us is secure and safe and is exactly the same as shopping with your credit card in a shopping centre, paying for meal when you eat out or doing your monthly groceries. Our credit card payment facility works the same way a speed-point does and all funds are transferred by the bank and not HomeGarden.co.za

All credit card transactions are encrypted using 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. This means that all details you enter on HomeGarden.co.za are encrypted as a secret code before these details are sent between HomeGarden.co.za and the bank. Our registration documents and domain are verified by COMODO, giving all parties concerned protection against identity theft in pursuit of confidential information. All security measures implemented on HomeGarden.co.za by Net Cash comply with leading standards and Net Cash is continually reviewing and adjusting our security profile to keep aligned with these standards. Net Cash provides safe secure credit card transactions.

MasterCard® Secure Code™ is a new service from MasterCard and your card issuer that provides added protection when you buy online. There is no need to get a new MasterCard or Maestro® card. You choose your own personal MasterCard Secure Code and it is never shared with any merchant. A private code means added protection against unauthorized use of your credit or debit card when you shop online.
Every time you pay online with your MasterCard or Maestro card, a box pops up from your card issuer asking you for your personal Secure Code, just like the bank does at the ATM. In seconds, your card issuer confirms it's you and allows your purchase to be completed.

Verified by Visa is free to Visa cardholders and was developed to help prevent unauthorized use of Visa cards online. Verified by Visa protects Visa cards with personal passwords, giving cardholders reassurance that only they can use their Visa cards online. Once your card is activated, your card number will be recognized whenever it's used at participating online stores. A Verified by Visa window will automatically appear and your Visa card issuer will ask for your password. You'll enter your password to verify your identity and complete your purchase. At stores that aren't participating in Verified by Visa yet, your Visa card will continue to work as usual.

HomeGarden.co.za are able to accept credit cards through a secured Payment Gateway solution provided by Net cash.

Net cash is a secure, reliable, easy to use and cost effective Standard Bank verified credit card processing facility.

In order to reduce our risk, we do a verification check on every Credit Card customer - this allows us to make the transaction with little chance of fraud. This also protects you, the credit card holder, as we ensure that you do not have a criminal using your credit card on our site.

Once the credit card details have been captured via our secure site the transaction must be authorised by the bank. If the card is valid and the customer has sufficient funds available, the bank will reserve the funds and return an "authorisation code". This happens instantly before the order is completed. This code is an assurance to us that the bank will reserve the stipulated amount of money on your account for a period of time. (approximately two weeks). The funds are not deducted from your account, only reserved. The funds are only removed and paid to us once order produce and availability are confirmed. This is an added feature to ensure that you, our customers will not be charged in any way in the event of stock not being available.

These features will incur an additional charge of R100 of your order total. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

We try to keep our pricing as low as possible, and tend to stay away from anything that would result in us having to increase our prices. We are confident that you will agree that our prices are highly competitive despite these added costs, while still giving you the option of a verified and secure credit card transaction.

In a concerted effort to curb fraudulent activity on credit cards and to further protect our customers from the risk of credit card fraud, HomeGarden.co.za has implemented 3D Secure technology on our online credit card payment facility on www.HomeGarden.co.za

3D Secure is the latest technical standard developed by Visa and MasterCard designed to combat online credit card fraud. In order for our customers to benefit from 3D secure, all credit card paying customers will need to register for 3D Secure with their respective banks. Once registered, card holders will have to use their password or pin code to validate their identity whenever they are making a purchase at participating online sites.

Currently, when making a credit card payment on HomeGarden.co.za, registering for 3D secure is an optional facility, however you will automatically be redirected to your bank's 3D Secure registration web page.
